The YAB groups are designed to give young people a sense of belonging to the Body of Christ through fellowship with peers and adult mentors, through spiritual formation, and through service to the Church and community. We provide opportunities to participate in social justice, spiritual and social activities that will nurture personal, spiritual and social growth as well as encourage a sense of responsibility to live out their faith each day by loving themselves and by loving others.

The High School YAB meets each 1st & 3rd Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the church. The program seeks to encourage young adults to make a positive difference in the world by engaging in activities centered on spirituality & social justice (as well as “fun” activities).Examples of some of the activities are: annual trip to the Religious Education Congress “Youth Day” in Anaheim, California; annual week-long mission trip to various American Indian Reservations throughout the Rocky Mountain West; visiting hospitals, retirement centers, homeless shelters & soup kitchens; sleepovers at the church; Rosaries & YAB Masses; hikes/campouts; snow (winter) & river (summer) Tubing trips; pool parties; and Leadership Retreats. For more information about the HS-YAB, please e-mail Catherine Abundo.

The Middle School YAB meets each 1st & 3rd Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the church. One of the primary goals of the middle school youth group is not only to prepare the kids for Confirmation, but also to make them excited about the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We teach this not by talking about our faith; rather, by living our faith! We strive to convince each young adult that each one of them has the potential to change the world by being Jesus to others, and seeing Jesus in others. Examples of some of the activities include: visiting hospitals, retirement centers, homeless shelters & soup kitchens; YAB Masses; “Game Nights” at the church; Rosaries; hikes; and snow tubing.  For more information about the MS-YAB, please e-mail  Becky Chamberlain.

Information about the YAB groups can be found on the YAB Bulletin Board in the Gathering Space, in the weekly parish bulletin’s “YAB GAB,” and on the parish calendar
