We are planning the Mission trip for July 22 - 27. This year, we will be serving the members of the Wind River reservation. Mission trips are all about moving into new territory and experiencing something different. Sometimes service stretches us beyond what we're used to... and that's OK!
We are excited that our trip is currently full! Please keep our youth and their adult leaders in your prayers during their travels.
We will partner with the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes through kids programming and home repair.
About Wind River
Our youth group will serve by painting and weatherizing homes in partnership with tribal housing authorities, running Kids Club programming for local children, and spending time with elderly residents. Groups will get to hear stories from community members, visit beautiful Sinks Canyon State Park and see the Eagle Spirit Dancers perform traditional native dances. They will also get the opportunity to participate in a community cookout. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 1998.
We will Serve by:
Serve through painting, cleaning, helping with yard work or doing other simple work projects. Plan and lead children's programming, including Bible lessons, games, crafts and reading activities. Students will have the opportunity to participate with each of the service sites during the week.
Youth Works provides Christ-centered mission trips for more than 20,000 teenagers and adult leaders in over 60 communities across the U.S. and beyond. We believe that these kinds of mission trip experiences positively impact the communities we partner with, the teenagers who are stretched and challenged through a week of service, and the adult leaders who build mission trips into the ongoing discipleship of their teenagers.
