As a community of faith, we care about one another especially in times of sickness or other distress. In scripture, people came to Jesus or were brought to him by their friends for healing. That is the purpose of the email prayer chain.

This association meets on Monday evenings to knit and crochet.  In addition to working on their own individual knitting or crochet projects, they serve the community by prayerfully creating shawls or lap blankets for the ill and bereaved.  The ladies often work on fun seasonal items, share patterns and assist each other.

This is an informal, sociable and fun group. They offer a way to learn a craft, serve the community and make wonderful friends all at the same time!  They meet on Mondays, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, but you may come whenever you are able to, without obligation, and stay for however long you can.  No experience necessary, just a desire to learn.  For more information contact:

Landings is a series of weekly meetings, during which a small group of active Catholics, some of which are “returnees” themselves, meet with a small group of inactive or returning Catholics to share and explore their faith together.

This ministry provides support for military members serving in Europe.  Military bases overseas stock brand name items and accept manufacturer’s coupons.  To help our military members, we collect coupon fliers and gather once a month to cut and sort the coupons to send them to soldiers and families.

Saint John the Baptist Parish ACTS Ministry spreads the Gospel by promoting and coordinating ACTS Retreats.  ACTS Retreats are given by parishioners for parishioners, and in this way, serve to build our Christian community at our parish.

Through the ACTS retreat, ACTS Missions provides a spark that ignites Catholics world-wide with the eternal flame of the Holy Spirit. As an instrument of God, ACTS is a light that will help bring about the New Evangelization by fostering love and true discipleship, leading others to a commitment and obedience to Our Lord Jesus Christ by our every word, action and thought.

The ACTS Retreat begins Thursday evening and ends with Sunday Mass.  An ACTS Retreat meets people where they are in their spiritual journey and invites them to experience God in a manner that is both personal and communal.

Group is currently not meeting.

The priests, the deacons and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist are available to take Holy Communion to the sick and home bound.  Please call the Parish Office to request a visit.

This ministry is open to all bereaved parents. This group offers spiritual and emotional support to parents who have lost a child at any age and to any cause.

The work of the Vocation Ministry is to pray and to develop uplifting, encouraging, educational activities that create a fertile environment so that God can plant the seed and the Holy Spirit can water that seed in the hearts of individuals. The activities fall within three major categories: Prayer, Education/Awareness, and Affirmation. Prayer for vocations is first and foremost, and it will transform a parish in God’s time.

This ministry provides pastoral care to families on the occasion of the death of a loved one.  Family participation in the planning of the funeral liturgy is encouraged.
