The Future of Our Faith!
The future of the Church is our youth! They are the ones who will be carrying the torch and investing in them is how we hand on our faith. Psalm 78:4 says "We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders which he has wrought." That can seem like an intimidating job, but it's what God calls us to.
I don't know if having your kids be a part of the youth group will ensure they will always be Catholic, no one can know that. What I can tell you, is that being in the youth group is a chance to make friends who share their beliefs and ideals. It's an opportunity to see where they fit in the Church and feel like they matter. It's an opportunity to grow in their faith and learn why the Church teaches what it does.
Everyone has a place in the youth group and everyone is welcome.
We can't make the youth group happen without incredible volunteers. If you feel like God is calling you to help the youth flourish and invest your time and resources in the youth, please reach out to me and find out how you can get involved.

Our SJB Youth program provides an outlet for our every middle schooler and high schooler to make some fun memories with each other in a new and unique way. We provide opportunities to learn about our Catholic faith, engage in spiritual events, and various social activities that will nurture personal, spiritual and communal growth as well as encourage a sense of responsibility to live out their faith each day by loving themselves and by loving others.
Youth Events can vary from playing nine ball, going to a sporting event, hikes, retreats, playing trivia, going to the movies or the theater, helping the Carmelites, partnering with CCS, wrapping and making Christmas presents for people in need, or helping deep clean a church or two.
To ensure that we have adequate materials and space for everyone, we kindly ask that you RSVP for each event as they are announced. There will be a deadline and cap for each event. This helps us prepare and ensure that every participant has a wonderful experience.
