First Communion & Confession

"Passing on the faith to our children is the paramount project of this parish. As Pastor, I will personally teach all of the children in our Sacramental Prep . . . Personal catechesis from the Pastor himself between Morning Masses on Sunday, our most Holy Day."

-Fr. Tilley, Pastor

Faith Formation at St. John the Baptist

Unlike at almost any other parish in America, the faith formation your child receives at St. John the Baptist is *taught by our pastor himself.*

And the best part is that you get to walk with your child through it. You, as a family, get to rediscover the beauty of the faith, of the Mass, and of the Sacraments, as your child prepares for his or her first confession and to receive the most Holy Eucharist at First Communion.

Along with small group sessions for your child, the First Communion and Confession program at St. John the Baptist are centered on Sunday Mass and lessons from Fr. Tilley taught between the Sunday morning Masses. These talks from our pastor are enriching for bothyou and your child, allowing you to flourish in the faith as a family.

1st Communion & Confession

A two-year program, our First Holy Communion sacrament classes typically are taken in the first and second grades. If you have a child who needs this sacrament and is older than the typical age, contact our Director of Faith Formation at (801) 984-7125.
